A380 Retrofit: Lufthansa modernizes Business Class of its largest aircraft

Lufthansa invests in the most extensive fleet renewal in its history and simultaneously modernizes the cabin interiors of its largest aircraft. Among other upgrades, the Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A350-900 will receive new seats across all classes. For the launch of this conversion program, referred to as “Retrofit” in aviation, the popular Airbus A380-800 will be equipped with new Business Class seats starting in February at Elbe Flugzeugwerke in Dresden. Further retrofits of the existing fleet will follow in close succession.

Delta Air Lines Orders up to 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to Grow, Modernize Widebody Fleet

Boeing and Delta Air Lines have announced the U.S. carrier placed its first direct order for up to 60 787 Dreamliners to support long-haul international growth and renew the airline’s widebody fleet. Delta’s purchase of 30 787-10 jets – with opportunity for up to 30 more of the largest 787 variant – will enable the airline’s expansion and modernization plans on high-demand transatlantic and South American routes.

Ethiopian Aviation University Graduates Over 450 Aviation Professionals from 12 Countries

Ethiopian Aviation University, the largest aviation center of excellence in Africa, graduates 457 aviation professionals from 12 countries. The graduates were trainees of the university’s Pilot Training, Aircraft Maintenance Training, and Cabin Crew Training schools. Marking the trainees’ achievement, the university held a vibrant graduation ceremony at its facility today.
